Imagine you could print 3D objects directly from your phone. Sounds like science-fiction? Well, you don't have to wait long anymore. The OLO printer is the first smartphone-powered 3D printer and made its debut in New York in October 2015, when it won the World Maker Faire Editor's Choice Award. OLO's technology is simple - yet brilliant - because half of its hardware is already in your pocket, making it easy for anyone to print in 3D. Simple and affordable, OLO uses the light from your smartphone's screen to print 3D objects. You can take OLO anywhere.
The OLO printer works with smartphones of almost any size or brand and on iOS, Android and Windows. It features over 400 cubic cm of printing volume, but compact and light, so it fits in any bag or backpack. It is simple to use: first select your object, then pour in the resin of your choice, and OLO does the rest. OLO's building chamber was designed to prevent light penetration in order to maximize the effectiveness of the white light emission from your smartphone's display. OLO is compatible with a variety of free 3D apps, but you can also use any 3D scan software, including Autodesk or your favorite 3D software.
For only $89 donation you can have your own smartphone 3D printer including a resin bottle.
